About
Kasary is a band that revives the tradition of Belarusian male singing.
Their repertoire, based on archival recordings of traditional Belarusian songs, includes feast and lyrical songs, as well as warrior and mower songs.
The band was formed in late 2023 in Warsaw on the initiative of Belarusian singer and musician Siaržuk Doŭhušaŭ. All of its members are originally from Belarus.
In 2025, the band won the Stara Tradycja competition at the festival Wszystkie Mazurki Świata, one of Poland’s largest festivals of traditional culture, and released its first album.
In 2026, the band received an award at the Nowa Tradycja festival, organised by Polish Radio.
